Murder accused jockey to apply for bail

Gregorowski claimed that he suffers from a bipolar disorder and he had stopped taking his medication which could have made him manic.

FORMER jockey, Graham Gregorowski (29), will appear in  the Pinetown Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 16 November, for the alleged murder of his partner, Janet Scott.

Scott (54) died at Gregorowski’s home in Shongweni on Saturday, 22 October.  According to reports, Gregorowski told the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court that the two had an argument after he returned from a pub that night. He slapped her and she fell to the ground. He went into the bathroom to wash himself and upon his return found Scott lying on the floor, motionless, and bleeding from her nose.

Janet Lynne Scott was murdered in Shongweni on 22 October.

Gregorowski was arrested and charged with murder. He appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 8 November, for a formal bail application. However he claimed that he suffered from a bipolar disorder and had stopped taking his medication which could have made him manic. He pleaded not guilty.

The bail application was adjourned to Wednesday, 16 November, in order for Gregorowski’s lawyer to access more information regarding his client’s bipolar disorder diagnosis.
