Have you lost a gold wedding ring?

The ring has a 1960 and a 1991 wedding date engraved on the inside.

AN 18-carat gold wedding ring belonging to a couple married in 1960 has been found by a Durban man who said he wants to return it to its rightful owners.

Donald Ensor, a detectorist, said he found the man’s wedding band along the Durban beachfront while sweeping the shore with his metal detector.

According to Ensor, the band has the names of two couples (Tom and Lyn and Brent and Peggy) engraved on the inside. The ring also has a 1960 wedding date on the inside.  “I am assuming he gave this ring to his son as on the other side of the ring is another man’s name, Brent and his wife named Peggy, along with their wedding date 1991.

“There are no surnames and it is an old style 18-carat ring. I would like to track the owner down and return it but have absolutely no idea how I would do this.”

If anyone can assist in getting the ‘old style ring’ back to its rightful owners, they can contact Ensor on 082 462 2916.
