DON’T miss the Antique and Collectible Fair at Westville Village Market, 123 Jan Hofmeyr Road, this Saturday, 5 November from 9am till 2pm.

Pertaining to the theme of the Guy Fawkes’ era, the organisers will showcase various items such as antique gun powder holders, vintage woodworking tools and a rare engraved plaque of Don Quixote de la Mancha – a Spanish link to ‘Guido Fawkes’ the notorious traitor who fought in the Spanish war.

Guy Fawkes was captured on 5 November 1605, for planning to assassinate King James 1 of England, during the opening of Parliament. His plot failed and he was sentenced to death. Parliament declared 5 November as a public holiday.

All welcome to the antique and collectibles fair. Free entry. Contact Sandy on 082 705 4882.
