Christina puts her best foot forward

Forest View Primary School's SPAR Star of the Month - October 2016.

CHRISTINA Burrows is Forest View Primary School’s SPAR Star of the Month.

Christina is a Grade 5 pupil at the school and was described by her teachers as an invaluable part of her class. Charlene Kerr, her class teacher, said she adored having Christina in her class as she is such a well-mannered and helpful pupil. Even though Christina is an excellent all-rounder and such a capable academic, she is humble in her attitude towards her achievements. She is imaginative in her artwork and creative. She is a loyal friend and nothing is too small for Christina to do, to brighten up someone else’s day.

On the sports field, Christina participates in hockey, netball and girls’ soccer, where she is most often the leading goal scorer for her team. She is an excellent swimmer and competes at an inter-school level. During this year’s athletics season, she competed fiercely at an inter-school level.

Christina also has another gem in her life, and that is her incredible musical talent. Christina is self-taught on both the piano and guitar and is currently part of the production in Westville, The Ring 2. Christina will sing and play the guitar during a solo where she will perform the incredibly difficult song, Hosanna. She also performed during the school’s assembly. “It was amazing and so beautiful to listen to that the staff were teary-eyed and the pupils were so quiet you could hear a pin drop in the hall.

“Christina, we are so proud of you and we wish you well for your exams, on the sports field and your performances at the Westville Civic Centre,” said Jean Montile, public relations officer at Forest View Primary School.
