Ashley Primary celebrates diamond jubilee in style

Book your tickets for the school's banquet dinner this weekend.

THE pupils at Ashley Primary School were excited for their school’s 60th birthday cake-cutting ceremony on Monday, 17 October.

Throughout the year, the school has hosted various celebrations from a fun day and fun run to two poetry evenings in August and a lucky ticket draw in September. The pupils also knitted squares that were stitched together to create colourful blankets that will be donated to various old age homes across the Highway area.

To conclude its festivities, there will be a banquet on Saturday, 22 October at the school, 10 5th Avenue in Pinetown from 5.30pm.

There will be an appearance by the hit comedian, Arnote Payne, as well as various dazzling dance acts throughout the evening. The cost is R250 a person and includes a three-course meal and the dress code is smart and casual. Tickets can be purchased through the school. Contact 031 701 2201.
