Bargains galore at Doone Village fete

IT’S that time of year again. Doone Village is holding its annual fete at Beare Drive in Pinetown on Saturday, 29 October from 8am to noon.
There will be plenty of bargains for all – from homemade cakes, preserves, plants, gifts, jewellery, needlework, a children’s stall, knitting, books, a lucky dip stall, Christmas stall and many bargains at the White Elephant as well as nearly new and bargain clothes stall. All convenors and helpers are from the villages at Doone.
Visit the refreshment stall from 8am. There will be bacon and egg rolls for sale and during the morning, hamburger rolls, boerewors rolls, ice-cream and cool drinks will be on sale, not forgetting the tea garden by the swimming pool.
There’s also the popular raffles – including a bumper Christmas goodies hamper and a chance to win a holiday at two resorts. The Art Group will have an exhibition in the library and art will also be on sale.
