Help welfare organisat cut overgrown tree

With the stormy weather, the staff are concerned that the tree will cause damage.

A tree which is growing next to a hut at the Pinetown and Highway Child and Family Welfare Society is becoming a concern for staff who are afraid the tree might collapse onto the structure.

Pinetown welfare fundraising representative, Ellen Attwell,  said the tree has been growing at the welfare society for years but now they are worried that if it falls, it will cause damage, especially with the stormy weather during these past weeks.

“A few metres away from the tree is a parking lot and we are scared that the tree will cause immense damage to the cars which are used by our social workers.

“The hut is where we store our garden material,” she said.

Attwell appealed to tree fellers to volunteer to cut down the tree.
