Grieving daughter seeks witnesses
Bianca's dad is believed to have 'jumped' off Sarnia Bridge on Monday, 29 August.
PINETOWN resident, Bianca Brown is looking for anyone with information following her fathers death on Monday, 29 August.
Brown’s father, Barend van der Merwe is believed to have jumped off Sarnia bridge.
“Someone said they saw a woman get a blanket from the boot of her car to quickly cover him after the fall,” she said.
Bianca said she just needs to know if the woman saw him jump or was he pushed off the bridge.
“I want closure and to thank her for doing what she did,” she said.
Brown said this happened around 3pm, “We looked for him the whole night and the news were a shock to us.,” she said.
Road users were warned to avoid N2 south bound yesterday and traffic was heavily affected in the afternoon peak hour as his body laid in the middle lane.
