Bed donation assures a better night’s sleep

In a joint donation between Hirsch's Hillcrest and Hillcrest High School, two community centre's in Upper Highway received new beds.

A TEAM from Hirsch’s Hillcrest and Hillcrest High School made their way to two NPOs to donate two much-needed mattresses

The first was a Rest Assured double bed and was donated to Siyabusiswa Orphanage. The orphanage is based in the Valley of 1 000 Hills and currently takes care of 18 abandoned children.

The team then set off to The White House Community Centre to donate a single Rest Assured bed for its wonderful project. The White House Community Care Centre in Inanda Valley that takes cares of between 50 to 60 abandoned, disabled, mentally challenged, cerebral palsy children and adults. It also has a feeding scheme for the gogos in the area each Tuesday, which reaches between 30 to 50 extra people.
