Head-on collision leaves one seriously injured

One of the vehicles then rolled coming to rest on its side.

TWO people were injured, one seriously, in a head on collision on Richmond Road, Pinetown just past RTI Traffic Police offices, on Thursday morning (25 August).

According to Rescue Care’s operations director, Garrith Jamieson, “Our paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles had collided head-on. One of the vehicles then rolled, coming to rest on its side. One of the drivers was entrapped in the wreckage and was freed using the jaws of life by Rescuers.”

Once the driver was freed from the vehicle they were transported to hospital. The other driver was also stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.
