THE Curro HCA Marimba bands, headed up by Ian and Charmaine Holloway, attended The 5th International Steelpan and Marimba Festival in Johannesburg from the 29 July to 1 August.
The Curro HCA IP Marimba Band won the Strictly Classical Section playing Vivaldissimo and achieved second place in Battle of the Bands with Can-Can.
The Curro Hillcrest Marimba Band won the Strictly Classical Section playing Vivaldi Funk and came second in the In the Mix Section playing I Just Want to Dance with You.
The Marimba bands will perform on Saturday, 20 August from 2pm at CityHill Church for the KZN Regional Marimba Festival.
