Free rabies shots from Kloof SPCA

Take along your dogs and cats to the Kloof and Highway SPCA to help protect your pets, family and community from rabies.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA will host its free annual rabies vaccination clinic on Sunday, 28 August, at its premises at 29 Village Road in Kloof from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

The rabies vaccination clinic will be held at the main reception at the Kloof and Highway SPCA. “The clinic is a follow on to the first clinic that was started in June of 2012, following the dramatic increase in positive rabies cases at that time.

“Rabies vaccinations need to be done annually to ensure the vaccine remains effective, and thereby not only protects your four-legged companions but also your immediate family and community,” said Lisa Mörck, PR and outreach officer at the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

There will be no charge for the rabies vaccinations, however donations are welcome.

Owners are encouraged to take along existing vaccination history if they have it, but vaccination certificates will be provided. Please ensure that all dogs are on leads and that all cats are contained in secure baskets or cat cages when taking them to the vaccination clinic.
