THE Robin Hood volunteers gathered to pack 500 Gogo bags to be delivered to grandmothers in the Shongweni area.

The foundation said that from this month, they will make Soulfood visits by hosting soup kitchens in one of the less fortunate communities they visit.

They will host some in the rural communities of Ntshongweni and Shongweni on Wednesday, 17 August and Friday, 30 August respectively.

Kim Griffith Jones, coordinator of The Robin Hood Foundation, said, “Now we have until 24 August to collect much needed items to ensure the Gogo bags for our second Soulfood visit to Shongweni are just as awesome.”

Griffith said these grannies and grandpas travel and walk for kilometres and wait from early in the morning to get the bags, some so old and so frail but desperate for the relief the Gogo bags bring them. The foundation hopes to complete these bags before Wednesday, 24 August.

Drop off items at any of their drop-off points by 24 August; Broadway Pharmacy, Swapo Road, Durban North, Gekko Culinary Adventures, 596b Musgrave Road, Durban, Pro Appointments, Unit 6 The Views, 11 The Boulevard, Westway office Park, Westville, Alenjen, Pineville Junction, Pinetown, Chilli Source Designs, 62 Old Main Road, Kloof and Wool n Weave, Lilies Quarters, Hillcrest.
