Help feed the less fortunate

Co-ordinator of The Robin Hood Foundation said they will host soup kitchens in one of the less fortunate communities.

HOSTING soup kitchens, aside from the other community outreach projects, has always been the dream of Cindy Norcott, chairman of the Robin Hood Foundation.

Kim Griffith Jones, co-ordinator of The Robin Hood Foundation said from this month, they will host soup kitchens in one of the less fortunate communities they visit.

“We are going to host soup kitchens in the rural communities of Ntshongweni and Shongweni on Wednesday, 17 August and Friday, 30 August respectively,” she said.

Kim appealed to the community to get involved and help them to achieve their goal of feeding nearly 2000 people from these communities as well as sending them off with a Gogo bag filled with non-perishables to cook for their families for the following week.

She added that they are so grateful for the amazing flood of donations they have already had pour into their storage units but are still needing more.
