Pedestrians injured in car crash

"Due to the impact, the pedestrians were flung down the embankment causing them to sustain moderate injuries."

FOUR were injured, one moderately so, when a driver lost control of his car and the vehicle veered off the road and down an embankment on Huntley Road in Malvern at around 5pm on Wednesday.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the vehicle down an embankment. “Two of the injured people were pedestrians who were walking on the pavement at the time

of the incident and were knocked down by the car. Due to the impact, the pedestrians were flung down the embankment causing them to sustain moderate injuries. The other two patients were in the car at the time of the incident. A total of four people had sustained various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital” said Advanced Life Support Paramedic, Ceron Lennox.
