WHEN it comes to measuring success in the world of business, Cindy Norcott stands head and shoulders above many of her peers. She epitomises what hard work, determination and tenacity can do when one is focussed on realising a dream and her continued success and growth in the recruitment industry has made her simply, unstoppable.
Owner and manager of Pro Appointments a recruitment agency which supplies temporary, contract and permanent staff in the fields of office support, accounts, sales and marketing and management, Cindy has a long list of achievements setting her apart as a woman worth emulating.
Awarded BWA Regional Achiever of the Year for KZN in May 2004, she went on to be named Business Person of the Year in 2005 by Sanlam and 3Talk. She was then nominated as one of the 29 Awesome Women of the Year by Cosmopolitan magazine and in 2013, won the CEO Communications Most Influential Women in Business award for the services category.
Success is all about sharing knowledge and in 2014, after 20 years at helm of Pro Appointment, Cindy took all the lessons she had learned in business over the years and penned her motivational book, How to be Unstoppable and achieve more in Business and Life. In the book, she shares some of her experiences and offers practical advice and tips to encourage others who need an action plan to achieve their desire for greatness.
A motivational speaker sought after by business audiences and women’s groups, she enjoys inspiring people to action drawing on her wealth of experience in business. She uses humour to share tips of practical wisdom with energy and openness alongside practical actionable plans.
Using her success and vast network of business contacts, Cindy fulfilled a desire to help the less fortunate in society in In 2005 when she launched the Robin Hood Foundation a non-profit organisation that runs a variety of social upliftment projects including the as Love the Babies, Gogo bags and Bless a Granny. She is the Chairperson of the charity which was awarded a Paul Harris award by Westville Rotary in 2008 for selfless community service.
