Bread tags make a difference

350kg of breadtags equals to two wheelchairs.

THIS Mandela Day, the QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) invited people for tea and biscuits to teach them about various projects that they do to fund- raise .

QuadPara administrator, Raymond Jaca, said they invited people to bring bread tags as 350kg of breadtags equals two wheelchairs.

A simple routine of collecting your bread tags makes a huge difference.

“The wheelchairs are then distributed to our disabled members who are in need of one,” he said.

He also encouraged people and businesses to support Casual Day which is on Friday, 2 September as QASA is one of the 12 beneficiaries.

The project encourages people to dress differently to the usual corporate dress code, whether dressed up or dressed down. The ‘licence’ to be dressed outrageously is the Casual Day sticker, which is obtained for a donation of R10.

QASA is always in need of bread tags, to donate them contact 031 767 0348/52 or email gm@qasa.co.za or drop them off at 17 Hamilton Crescent, Gillitts.
