I write this post with a very sad and heavy heart. Today, Mark and Shirley made a decision that will forever change their lives.

It was confirmed that our little fighter boy sadly suffered severe brain trauma and his precious family decided to let him rest in peace, Jared has passed away.

What I find comfort in, and I am sure so will all of you, as will his family, is that Jared’s death was not in vain. Jared’s organs have been donated and he gets to save the lives of many.

This has helped the family get through the toughest time ever! To Kelly De Bruijn, Karyn Lund, Rohinee Kalideen for your endless cooking and love. We were all hoping and praying for a miracle but I guess God had other plans for our boy. I call it life. In this life we don’t get to choose, we accept the fate that God has dealt and that life has dealt.

From what I have gathered, Jared has led such a full, eventful and wonderful life and was loved by so many and that will pull this family through, the memories, the wonderful memories.

Dear Mark and family I am desperately sorry for your loss my friend. Jared was such a lovely child. May he fly high and free with the angels. I am lost for words I can’t think of anything worse to go through. May God’s strength and peace envelope you all. Lots of love.

“The family will be having a private service and then a memorial at Kloof Harvest Church next week, details of which will be posted in the Facebook group,” said Hoyte.
