WFC pupils schooled on life in a workplace

Hirsch's Hillcrest hosted a group of Grade 10 pupils from Waterfall College and gave them a first-hand work environment experience.

SIXTEEN Grade 10 business studies and accounting pupils from Waterfall College visited the Hirsch’s Hillcrest branch to get a taste of a work environment.

The pupils were taken to each department to learn the duties of what each job type entailed and were also informed on what is expected in the workplace. ‘Vision boards’ were created by each pupil to give them an idea of what they foresee themselves in the future.

The pupils were treated to refreshments and snacks afterwards and were left with a few words of wisdom. “As Walt Disney so cleverly put it, ‘All of our dreams will come true, if we have the courage to pursue them’,” concluded Hirsch’s Hillcrest’s PRO, Taryn Taylor.
