Ward 19 residents kept warm

WARD 19 residents will be kept warm this winter after the MA Motala Islamic Centre, in association with the Al-Imdaad Foundation, distributed 200 blankets.

The Al-Imdaad Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian aid relief organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian services in crisis and non-crisis situations to the most needy orphans, widows and the destitute.

Shabir Nhleko from the MA Motala Islamic Centre said they donate the blankets every year to keep people warm, with a focus on senior citizens.

“We get assistance from the Ward 19 war room, which helped us identify needy people,” said Nhleko.
