Truck and car collide, two injured

The cause of this accident remains unclear, however, SAPS were on scene and are investigating.

TWO people were injured, one seriously, when a truck and a car collided on Wakesleigh Road in Bellair around 4pm on Friday, 20 May.

Operations Director, Garrith Jamieson, said paramedics found the driver of the car trapped inside his vehicle. “Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on scene to find the badly damaged vehicle in the roadway. The driver was still inside the vehicle and paramedics climbed into the wreckage to stabilise him. Once he had been stabilised in the vehicle he was extricated and then loaded into an awaiting ambulance,” he said.

Both the driver and passenger were taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of this accident remains unclear, however, SAPS were on scene and are investigating.
