HELP make the dream journey come true for CURRO High School’s Ashley Scott, Caled Hawyes, Matthew Ellerman, Steve van Camp, Dennis Ellerman, Luke Hawyes, Justine Reed, Liz Ellerman and Keith Hawyes, who are hoping to travel to Nepal to help an underprivileged school.

CURRO Hillcrest Christian Academy will host a base camp buffet fundraising dinner on Saturday 21 May at 6pm at the CURRO High School’s main hall. The event is to raise enough funds to send between 15 to 20 of its high school pupils to Nepal to provide help and support to the people still suffering from the earthquake that hit the country in April last year. “Our goal is to spend time with the children and to provide support in terms of equipment, toys, writing materials and subsidies,” said Keith Hawyes, head of intermediate phase at CURRO Hillcrest.

The pupils will also hike to the Mt Everest Base Camp. “This will also give our pupils an unforgettable experience of trekking to the Everest Base Camp and give them a story to tell.”

Te cost of the dnner is R 5000 per 10-seater table. “We would love to have your company support us in our endeavour by buying a table and joining us for an evening of great entertainment,” said Keith. It is a formal event, a three-course meal will be served and the dress code is smart-casual. To book your seats, a table or to make a general donation to the expedition, email liz@netvendor.co.za.
