Help Koza make a difference

Koza's wish is to help young girls, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

A YOUNG woman from KwaNdengezi has started a campaign, Pad Drive KZN, to collects sanitary products for the underprivileged girls.

Hlengiwe Koza (24) said she was very touched after reading in a study last year that eight million girls in South Africa miss school because they cannot afford to buy sanitary products, and some girls end up using old clothes or newspaper.

Koza said her wish is to try and make a difference in the lives of these young girls, especially those with disadvantaged backgrounds.

For Pad Drive KZN to succeed, Koza is appealing to the community to donate sanitary pads that will be distributed in the disadvantaged schools.

“Through this, a difference can be made especially in and around KZN schools and to a young girl’s life, even by donating one pack of sanitary pads,” she said.

To make a donation, contact Koza on 072 112 8405 or e-mail hlengiwe@redleafholdings.co.za.

People can also drop off their donations at the Anthology shop in Windermere Centre, Morningside or at Gagasi FM, 6 Zenith Drive, Solstice, Umhlanga.
