Two women shot in Pinetown

The perpetrators are still at large.

TWO women were seriously injured when they were shot in Pinetown on Saturday morning.

ER24 spokesman, Werner Vermaak, said paramedics were called to Dale Avenue shortly after midnight, where they found two injured women.

“One woman, believed to be 29, was found with a gunshot wound to her neck. Another woman, believed to be 21, was found a few metres away, shot in the leg. Both women were treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital,” he said.

Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Lt Bongumusa Manqele, confirmed the incident. “Two women were shot in Dale Avenue. The motive for the shooting is unknown.” No one has been arrested and a case of attempted murder was opened at Pinetown SAPS.
