Put your paws up for SPCA society

The Kloof and Highway SPCA urge Highway residents to join in on its monthly Golden Paw Society meetings.

AT the most recent Golden Paw Society meeting, one of the Kloof and Highway SCPA’s longest serving volunteers shared her reason for supporting the NPO.

Sally Bennett said her reason for her volunteer work at the organisation was her ongoing love and passion for animals, and wanting to leave a legacy to the animals. “We also heard from one of our reception ladies, Sindy Gasa, who serves on the frontline of our SPCA and she shared with us some of her experiences of what happens on a daily basis in an animal welfare shelter,” said Lisa Morck, the pr and outreach officer at the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

The aim of the Golden Paw Society is a way for the Kloof and Highway SPCA to welcome its supporters as part of the its family. It is also a way to keep the informed about the work undertaken by the NPO, in terms of Inspectorate activities, animal health care, care of animals in its shelter, outreach clinics and education to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

The Kloof and Highway SPCA extended an open invitation to all its supporters and members in the Highway community to become actively involved and join the Golden Paw Society. “We host a morning tea every month, on the last Thursday of the month,” said Lisa.
