M13 accidents leave four injured

Netcare 911 and ER24 paramedics attended the Field's Hill accidents and stabalised the injured.

FOUR people were injured on Field’s Hill in two separate incidents yesterday evening.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the first accident when a bakkie ploughed into two construction workers. Chris Botha, the media liaison officer for Netcare 911, said the two workers were placing road signs when they were hit by the vehicle.

One of the men was critically injured while the other man was moderately injured. They were both transported to a nearby hospital.

A short while later, a child and a woman, believed to be in her 50s, were injured in a taxi accident. The boy, believed to be five years old, was treated for minor injuries and the woman was treated for moderate injuries by ER24 paramedics.

They were then transported to hospital after they were stabilised on scene.
