Nine injured in Booth Road crash

Rescue Care and other emergency services worked to stabalise nine commuters who were injured in an accident near the N2 bridge this morning.

MULTIPLE people were injured when five cars and a truck collided on Booth Road near the N2 bridge this morning.

“Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the road was obstructed by multiple vehicles. More ambulances were called to assist,” said Garrith Jamieson, operations director for Rescue Care.

Nine people were treated for injuries that ranged from minor to moderate. The commuters were then taken to various Durban hospitals.

“At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision, however SAPS members were on the scene and will be investigating,” concluded Jamieson.
