Young models compete for a good cause

Pensioners at Flame Lily enjoyed an afternoon's entertainment.

IN an effort to raise awareness of the water scarcity as well as funds for the aged, Simply Models School of Modelling and Deportment hosted a modelling contest at Flame Lily Retirement Village recently.

Owner of the school, Dianne Ward, said the donation was made possible by everyone involved in the show. “All contestants and the audience were asked to bring a bottle of water. We managed to collect 1 000 litres of water between the contestants and the pensioners. This water was delivered to Melmoth by Water Shortage SA,” said Ward.

She said they were thrilled with what they had managed to collect. The pensioners at Flame Lily enjoyed an afternoon’s entertainment and money raised from the competition was donated to the Frail Care unit.
