Woman injured in vehicle rollover
"The woman was found outside of her vehicle. It is believed that she climbed out of the vehicle herself," ER24.
A WOMAN believed to be in her 20s sustained moderate injuries when her vehicle overturned yesterday afternoon on the M7 between Bellville Road and Main Road shortly before 5pm.
ER24’s spokesman, Werner Vermaak, said the woman might have sustained injuries while climbing out of her car. “ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the woman’s vehicle lying on its roof. The woman was found outside of her vehicle. It is believed that she climbed out of the vehicle herself. Paramedics found her with possible fractures to her shoulder and treated her on scene before she was transported to Westville Hospital,” he said.
“It is understood that the woman apparently swerved for a truck, which resulted in her losing control of her vehicle. The exact cause is not yet known. Police and Metro Police attended the scene,” he added.
