Boy (7) bitten by dog
The exact cause of what led to the incident is unknown at this stage.
A SEVEN -year-old boy was attacked by a dog in New Germany yesterday (Tuesday , 1 March).
According to Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesman, it is believed that the boy and his friends, who were at his house, wanted to go to a shop.
“The boy’s sister, believed to be 18 years, accompanied them. It is alleged that the dog attacked the boy while they were walking to the shop. The dog apparently ran away after the boy’s friends managed to pull it off him. The boy was then taken home by his sister along with his friends,” said Bodasing.
Paramedics were alerted and upon arrival at the house, found the boy lying on the floor in the lounge. His sister and friends were by his side. Paramedics treated the bite wounds and abrasions and then transported him to hospital.
