Two injured in truck accident

SAPS are investigating the cause of the collision that took place on Locksley Drive, Sherwood yesterday.

TWO people were injured after the truck they were travelling in collided with a vehicle on Locksley Drive, Sherwood, around 4pm on Tuesday, 16 February.

According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director at Rescue Care, paramedics arrived at the scene and found two passengers entrapped in the truck. The jaws of life and other hydraulic equipment was used to free the injured men. Once freed, the two were stabilised and then taken to a nearby hospital.

“At this stage it is unclear what caused the truck to collide into the back of the vehicle, however SAPS was on the scene and will be investigating,” said Jamieson.
