Star College honoured for 100 percent pass rate

The school achieved a 100 percent pass rate in the matric results last year.

CLLR James Nxumalo was the keynote speaker at the 2015 Matric Awards Ceremony held at the ICC on Friday 29 January to celebrate schools that achieved 100 percent matric pass rate.

He urged young people to remain focused and make the correct choices. He stressed that they need to put education above everything else, as education is the way to a better life.

Star College was the perfect example of a school that puts education above all, as its aim, ‘Excellence in Education’, is achieved each year.

Star College Boys’ High School principal, Osman Karaayvaz, received an award from local councillor, Fawzia Peer (right), for achieving a 100 percent pass rate in the 2015 matric exams.
