Family grateful to see children back home

We are glad we didnt lose all the children - Thuleleni Sikhosana

TWO Clermont children – Ayabonga Sithole and Phiwokuhle Mtshali – who were part of four children trapped in a car on Tuesday, 19 January, have recovered and are back at home.

The four children (aged between two and three years old) were playing together in a neighbour’s yard and climbed into one of the vehicles. They locked themselves in and were unable to get out.

Ayabonga and Phiwokuhle were discharged on Friday, 22 January and Thuleleni Sikhosana, Ayabonga’s grandmother, said, “We are very happy and grateful to God that the children have recovered and are well.”

Sikhosana thanked Kulungile Funerals, Cllr Sibongiseni Mkhize and eThekwini Municipality Mayor, James Nxumalo.

“I would also like to thank the media and KwaDabeka Clinic; they did everything possible to save the children.”
