Netcare donates informative toys

Netcare 911 donated toys to children suffering from cancer.

MORE than 100 toys were donated to the Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC) at the Netcare911 headoffice in Midrand.

This was Netcare 911’s way of raising awareness and providing support to children suffering from cancer on World Cancer Day. Netcare911 staff donated doctors’ play set kits and rescue vehicle sets.

Zwanga Mulovhedzi, the campaigns and events coordinator for the CHOC, received the toys on behalf of the children and staff.

“The toys are so cute and the children are going to love them. From all of us at CHOC, we appreciate the donation,” she said.

Lizelle Kemp, international new business development manager for Netcare911, said this donation will help the young children learn about the different medical procedures they go through and what instruments doctors use to assess their state of health while they also get a chance to play with the toys.

She added that the toys will also help them to forget about what they are going through at such a young age.

“We can only imagine the pain they are going through. At Netcare, our core value is ‘care’. We care about the dignity of our patients and people. We care about the participation of our staff and our partners in everything we do. But most importantly, we are passionate about providing healthcare solutions for all, hence the donation,” said Kemp.
