SPCA makes ‘paws-ative’ change

Collect your red can today and help raise funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

TO celebrate the love the Kloof and Highway has for all animals, the change cans underwent a revamp and were re-launched as red change cans for 2016.

The purpose of the change can campaign is to encourage all members of the community to collect their spare change and coins, fill the cans and return them to the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

“The funds raised by this campaign are used to assist with funding the outreach programme. The aim of the programme is to reach out to the most vulnerable animals in poverty-stricken areas and provide primary animal healthcare, thus promoting the health and welfare of animals, and therefore people too. School children especially are encouraged to take change cans home to fill them up with any spare change,” said Lisa Gadd, the outreach officer at the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

Change cans are available at the Kloof and Highway SPCA reception, tea garden and thrift shop. “Collect yours today and make every coin count. Thank you to all those who are collecting coins for the animals in our care. We love what ‘change’ can do,” said Lisa.
