A VOLUNTEER nurse at a local NPO was the victim of an assault on Tuesday.
According to reports, she was at her home on the Lily of the Valley orphanage grounds when she was targeted by two men. During the incident, her hands are believed to have been bound by rope and she was bludgeoned on the head with a gun.
Lily of the Valley is a non-profit organisation near Camperdown and offers full-time residential care for up to 120 orphaned and vulnerable children who are impacted by HIV/AIDS.
