Wyebank pupil scoops seven A’s

Wyebank Secondary School achieved a 69,63 per cent pass rate, with 160 distinctions and 53 Bachelor passes this year.

WYEBANK Secondary School’s top achiever, Bradley Job, claims he’s a bit of a perfectionist, which is no surprise considering he scored seven distinctions in the 2015 NSC matric examinations.

He said the exams were of a fair standard, not as challenging as expected, even though the MEC said it was an upgrade from the previous year.

“I was very surprised with my results. I wasn’t sure I would get a distinction in isiZulu but was the first Indian pupil to get a distinction in that subject at my school as well as the only pupil to get a distinction in English at my school this year,” said Bradley.

He added that balancing study time, academics and extra curricular subjects and activities at his school was the winning formula for his success. Bradley represented SA in the Model United Nations debating in New York in March last year.

“I want to thank my parents, teachers and friends for the support, encouragement and motivation throughout 2015,” added Bradley.

Bradley was accepted to study medicine at UCT however due to the lack of funds will pursue a bachelor of pharmacy at UKZN this year.
