Road carnage plagues highway areas

One of the drivers was ejected from a vehicle which overturned several times on the N2 near Spaghetti junction.

Road fatalities continued to plague the highway areas as two separate accidents occurred during this weekend.

Earlier today, Netcare 911 paramedics had to rush on to a crash at the N2 North near Spaghetti Junction. Netcare 911 Media Liaison Officer, Chris Botha, reported that a light motor vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned several times.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the crumpled remains of the vehicle had come to rest on its wheels. The unrestrained driver however was ejected from the vehicle and found dead at the side of the roadway”, he said.
