TODAY, 11 December, a 33-year-old man is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrates’ Court for being in possession of drugs.
Pinetown police were conducting a routine festive season operation in the Pinetown CBD when they spotted a suspicious suspect.
Upon searching him, they found 517 straws of heroin and 30 ‘slopes’ of rock cocaine.
The man was immediately placed under arrest and was charged with possession of an illegal substance. The total value of the recovered drugs is R12 600.
“We would like to warn all criminals that we are ready and eager to arrest all those who are breaking the law, without fear or favour,” said KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Mmamonnye Ngobeni.
