Housing tender scams surface in KZN

Ethekwini Municipality urges people to be alert to housing tender scams.

ETHEKWINI Municipality urged the public to remain vigilant of tender scams being carried out across KwaZulu-Natal involving the fictitious appointment of service providers to build large number of low-cost housing projects.

People are warned to be alert. In eThekwini Municipality, suspicious activity can be reported to the City Integrity and Investigations Unit on 0800 202 020 (toll-free).

Alternatively, people can contact the KZN Department of Human Settlements Fraud Investigations and Risk Management Directorate on 031 336 5300 should these fraudulent activities come to their attention.
