School children injured in car roll-over

Girls aged between 7 and 10 were taken to hospital after the incident.

FIVE people were injured this morning when the car they were travelling in swerved off Rainbow Drive in Waterfall and rolled.

Four of the injured were school girls aged between 7 and 10.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found the car lying on its roof on the side of the road. The occupants of the car were found seated on the opposite side of the road.

On assessment, paramedics found that all five patients had sustained minor injuries in the collision. No serious or fatal injuries were reported on scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to St Mary’s Hospital.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
