DETECTIVES at the Malvern police station are looking for the man in the photo who allegedly produced a fraudulent EFT slip at a local food store in Malvern.

“Last month he purchased food items to the value of R21 000, and when the store contacted the bank, it was discovered that prior to him purchasing the goods at the store he had deposited a fraudulent cheque at the bank,” stated corporate communications officer, W/O Marimuthu. At the point of purchase, the store checked for the money in the account, which reflected the sum of the cheque, and the goods were released.

“However, it was later discovered that something was amiss, with the bank confirming that the cheque deposited was fraudulent. Anyone with information in this regard can call W/O Prevash Moodley on 031 489 9624/9.
