Sarnia U11 team shines above the rest

Their coach says they keep getting better with every match they play.

SARNIA’S U11 soccer team has had an incredible year, building off a great foundation set in 2014.

The team was unbeaten in the Highway Soccer League after playing against Lyndhurst, Ashley, Pinetown Senior, CHCA, Highway College and Benjamin Pine.

They played in three soccer tournaments and emerged victorious in all three. They also participated in the Pitlochry Junior Soccer Tournament, which included all schools in the Highway area.

They won the German School six-a-side soccer tournament, which took place at Varsity College. The last tournament they won was the Lyndhurst seven-a-side soccer tournament.

Led by Mr Bill Houston, this incredible U11 team played an impressive brand of soccer which made for very exciting matches with lots of goals.

The team managed to find the right balance and combination very early in the season and kept getting better and better with each match.

Mr Houston said, “I have come across some quality soccer players over the years but was impressed by the chemistry of this team and how well they connected with each other.” The boys are also very good friends off the field, which makes playing for together during the match much easier.
