TWELVE people were injured this morning when a taxi overturned several times on the M13 in Hillcrest.
Shortly before 6am, paramedics arrived on the scene where they found the taxi lying on its roof in the emergency lane of the highway.
“Paramedics found that a volunteer trauma doctor from VEMA Paramedics came across the incident and was already busy providing care to the patients on the side of the highway,” said Werner Vermaak, ER24 spokesman.
Three people were treated for moderate injuries and nine others were treated for minor injuries on the scene.
They were later transported to RK Khan and St Mary’s Hospitals.
