9 injured in KwaNdengezi

Residents of Juba Road woke up to a tragic surprise as a minibus had overturned into their home.

A MINIBUS taxi overturned, crashing into a house in KwaNdengezi on Thursday morning, 5 November, causing two children and seven adults injuries.

When ER24 paramedics and provincial services arrived on scene, they found a taxi lying on its roof near a residence. Occupants from the taxi were found standing around the vehicle.

It is understood that the driver lost control of the taxi, causing it to roll down an embankment and come to rest on its roof.

On assessment, paramedics found that nine people, including a 12-year-old child, had escaped with only minor injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
