ONE man was shot and three bitten by K9 dogs after a shoot-out near St Wendolins this morning. According to reports, four men robbed a vehicle in Chatsworth.
Chatsworth police immediately responded and spotted the suspects fleeing in a white Elantra. Malvern crime prevention police also responded and a chase ensued.
Reports said that the alleged robbers started shooting at the police, who immediately returned fire and shot one of the men, which caused the car to crash.
The three other men ran into a bush and were chased and bitten by K9 dogs that also joined in on the chase. All the stolen stock was recovered as well as two unlicensed guns.
The car was also reported to have been stolen. Reports revealed that one of the men that was arrested is on the most wanted list in KwaZulu-Natal.
