Mango warns against recruitment scam

Mango airline has released an example of the fraudulent advert that is doing the rounds.

MANGO Airlines has released a press statement which urges people to ignore and negate current fraudulent advertising offering internships and job opportunities at the airline.

The advertisement and subsequent correspondence with applicants ultimately requires administration fees and promises training, employment guarantees and in some instances accommodation and subsistence allowances. The scam has impacted other airlines recently.

Mango spokesman, Hein Kaiser, said they urge people not to respond to the fraudulent ads.

He advised people that any queries or communication must either be directed to or be received through official Mango channels.

“The e-mail addresses indicated on the fraudulent advertisement originate from a free service e-mail domain, and are not associated with flymango.com. Several enquiries as a consequence of the fraudulent advertisement have been received from all over the country this week.”

He added that should anyone doubt the authenticity of communication, they must contact the airline immediately.

Example of the fraudulent advertising:
