Response officer honoured for his hard work

The officer was congratulated by the District Manager of ADT Security in KwaZulu-Natal for a job well done.

ADT Security armed response officer, Mzwandile Khumbulani Nene, was awarded top honours at the Security Industry Alliance (SIA) awards evening on Tuesday, 6 October, held in Johannesburg.

The annual award ceremony honours individuals and teams from within the security industry who have excelled and gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Nene, who is stationed at ADT’s head-office in New Germany, was presented with a Prevention of Crime Award for his vigilance and quick reaction, which resulted in the arrests of a group of copper thieves in Cowies Hill in August this year.

District manager of ADT Security in KwaZulu-Natal, Ivan Govender, congratulated Nene on his award.

“We are very proud of Mzwandile and admire his proactivity and dedication. He is a shining example of ADT’s ‘Big 5’ values – to be professional, reliable, competent, honourable and proactive,'” said Govender.

Nene is currently attending a management leadership course for supervisors as part of ADT’s training and development programme for individuals who show great potential in their respective fields.
