Growing nightmare worries young mom

Thandeka Mkhize's nightmare started after she gave birth in 2012.

A GROWING tumour in the abdomen of a teenage mom, Thandeka Mkhize, has made her lose hope of ever leading a normal life. She has tried getting help but with no success.

Mkhize said her nightmare started in 2012 after she gave birth through surgery. “The swelling started very small and I have been to clinics and hospitals to try put an end to this growing nightmare.”

Mkhize said she has been told by the doctors that they can not see what started this tumour and they won’t be able to assist.

“I spend most of my time indoors as I can not face people. I can’t even go out to look for a job because of the pain and low self-esteem.

Pastor Alfred Ntshangase, coordinator of Enhlanhleni Isibani Sezwe, a KwaDabeka NPO which assists vulnerable families, said they really hope someone could help this young girl.

“Mkhize is an orphan and she is under our wing, and it hurts us to see her turning into a loner because of this growth. She has lost lost all hope and she does not have money to consult a specialist,” said Ntshangase.

Anyone who might be willing to assist Mkhize can contact Pastor Ntshangase on on 082 666 0876 or 078 190 3973.
