NINE people were injured on Monday, 12 October after two trucks collided on the N3 highway in Cato Ridge.
“When paramedics arrived on scene, they found both trucks parked in the middle of the road. Passengers from one of the trucks were found sitting in the centre median,” said Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesman.
On assessment, paramedics found that two of the occupants had sustained serious injuries while seven others sustained only minor injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and provided the seriously injured patients with advanced life support.
Once treated, the patients were transported to various hospitals for urgent treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
